Monthly Blog Recap: September

Hello!

How was September for you? Mine was both calm and stressful at the same time. It started calmly but as soon as the beginning of my studies approached, it was becoming more and more hectic! How come? Well, very easily, mostly the week before the studies we got to be partying nearly every day. And trust me that's exhausting, even though I didn't drink as much as my friends did. Well, and imagine, and even today in the evening we are going partying, as for most of us, the studies for this week have ended.

For me: one lecture was cancelled, tomorrow is a holiday in Cyprus, meaning two more lectures cancelled, and well on Friday I don't have any lectures. xD Oh, there's actually big announcement. I got a camera! it's Nikon D5500, and I am really excited to use it, especially if I was asked by my stepmom to be the official photographer for her even this Saturday.

I am pumped, what about you? Are you ready to put on jeans, and coats as well as boots very soon? it's not going to be very soon for me, but still...

XOXO

Katie

Hello, everyone!

How was your week? Mine was good but quite exhausting. For the last 2 days, we as students have been partying before the studies start. so you can guess, what kind of life it was during that days. However, I didn't really need to go to the gym, it was fun dancing all night long!

Well, next week my 3rd year of uni studies is starting, so I am getting ready. It also helps, that we will have a holiday on Thursday, meaning I will miss two lectures, but I will go to my dad's as I will be in charge of photo shoot on a very important seminar for my stepmom. It's going to be interesting and fun as well.

Oh, and on Monday I'll have my hair cut a bit, to give it a fresh look, the previous hairdresser did a fantastic work chopping my hair mismatched, it's still long, but every time I want to put it down I see so unsymmetrical parts, it's driving me crazy.

Well, I hope your week was good. Hope you didn't miss anything that was happening on my blog!

XOXO

Katie

Hello, everyone!

How was your week? Mine was quite good, as I've been living with my stepbrother and my stepmom, well, dad went somewhere for work things, so we were three at home. I got to go to the beach and could work all I wanted on my blog, as I didn't need to be concerned about the food issue or that I need to go somewhere.

I also got to order a number of books, so I will be waiting to receive them shortly, I am very excited.

Tell me how you spent your week? I only have one more until the term starts and I will be busy with studies and club activities.

XOXO

Katie

My Thoughts

Review covers 9 chapters

Hello everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Another mini manga review here! This time I have a sweet romance story. I’ve read several works by Kana Nanajima and this time I thought of making a mini review to introduce this author.

First of all, all the stories that I’ve read by Nanajima-sensei radiate some kind of happiness and this story is not an exception. I loved the characters a lot. They made my heart flutter as if I myself was a girl in love. Strange feeling to say the truth…

The ending made me laugh a lot. Especially Kazuya;s delusions on how he steals An. My mouth was open for a whole minute before I turned the page to read that it was all a delusion. My disappointment had no bounds. Yep, was not a big fan of Anzu x Rei pairing.

If you want to relax and read something sweet click on mangafox link and start reading now! Stay tuned for more on Katie’s Corner and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Happy reading!

For 10 years Saika has done everything she can to get close to her love Keishi. She followed him to the same high school, joined the same committees, and even changed her outward personality to become the right match for Keishi. One day, looking for Keishi in the special section of the school, she runs into the school's trouble-maker Kirisaki Shin. As he begins to bully her, her true personality comes out: loud-mouthed and violent. To her dismay, Kirisaki decides that he likes that kind of girl. Lovey Dovey is the story of Saika's trials and tribulations in a love triangle at a school where "Love is Prohibited."

My Thoughts

Review covers 29 chapters

Hello everyone and welcome back to Katie’s Corner! Today is a manga day and I have quite a nice manga for you. Yes, yes, it’s a smut genre, but it’s not all showing as Minami Kanan works, but do you see quite a lot. But let’s get back to the story itself. The story may be your average love-story, where the girl loves one boy, but due to some circumstances a “delinquent” is chasing her and so in the end she does fall in love with him and they start to date. You get my point? Well, add to the mix the school that forbids love (relationships) and you get a rough story of our heroes. Oh, I forgot to add that there would be some love rivals to test our lovebirds’ relationship; you get my drift, right?

I loved the story a lot. It was really good and with a lot of funny moments that would crack you up even if you had the worst possible day ever. The best parts of curse were Saika’s. The way she transforms from a nice and ladylike into a killing machine is something fabulous. Oh, and her futile, but not always, efforts to shake of Shin’s advances, can’t leave anyone laughing. On he other hand you have Shin. Well, he’s from that male population that says: “I want it and I’ll get it.” In the very, very beginning, he’s just a frustrating negative character, but to the end of the 1st or 2nd chapter, he becomes your either first or second favourite characters, depends how you like Saika.

I enjoyed this story a lot. I mean really a lot. The whole concept of a school, which banned relationships, was quite new to me, not really new, I’ve either read or watched something with similar idea behind, but how Oda-sensei managed to describe it and actually bring it to life is absolutely amazing. The way characters interact is as if you were just plunged into high schiil, I mean, I graduated high school about 2 years ago and it was the first time I missed it, because it was too similar to my own high school years. I really enjoyed reading about Saika and Shin’s relationship. They cracked me up, but at the same time their interaction was sweet. I was having a lot of fun reading about Shin. Whenever he was turned down and afterwards got his revenge on Saika. The way they looked for secluded places to be alone at school. But that just arose a question within me: couldn’t they spend their spare time together? Was it really necessary to “fool around” at school?

I hope you will find some time to read this story. It’s fast paced and you just can’t put it down even for a minute. Are you ready to get acquaintance with Saika, Shin and many more amazing characters? Then, what are you waiting for? Start reading it now! I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did and don’t forget to share your thoughts below. Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos here, on Katie’s Corner! Happy reading!

XOXO
