My Thoughts

Review covers 40 chapters

This is my third time reading this manga. And it was one of the firsts I read when I just started getting into manga world. Mostly I remembered this little because of Faster than a kiss. Why? It’s similar in the whole marriage theme, but it’s a josei, so by definition it’s more mature and the relationship is developed in all ways. I love this story for many reasons. The characters are fun; you just can’t not laugh at Chiwa’s and Hokuto’s banter. And it is fantastic when they argue. I especially loved the moment when Chiwa refuses to take care of him. It cracked me up so much; I think even printed it out and its ether on my kitchen or bedroom wall.

But well let me explain what is going on in the story. Meet Chiwa, a 22-year-old office lady, who as to work in a host club to pay her dad’s debts. One day she is summoned to the president’s office and is given a deal. They will pay all her dad’s debts, but in return she has to marry the president f the company – Hokuto Mamiya. Chiwa agrees so the story of those two living under the same roof starts. Chiwa is a fun and a great character. She did annoy me sometimes, but nevertheless her view of life and her marriage even if it was fate in the beginning is still admirable. But before I move on to some other parts let me introduce Hokuto to you. Meet a 28-year-old very perspective company president who was threated by his grandfather that if he doesn’t marry he’d be fired from the post. In order to find answers to his mother’s death, Hokuto needs to climb to the top, therefore he agrees to the deal. Hokuto needs to climb to the top, therefore he agrees to the deal. Hokuto is a really great character; his development is fantastic through out the story. He starts from ignoring his wife and assigning a person to watch over her really loving her.

In short you can call it a mature relationship story. It showcases the ups and downs of being married as well as how the external and internal factors affect it. If you want something fun but at the same time serious to read this story is or you. Have fun reading about Chiwa and Hokuto. They do make a fantastic couple. Enjoy it to its fullest and don’t forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos. Don’t miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!
